Project Description: create an animation of a character walking. The walk should express an emotion (pride, insecurity, fear, joy, etc.) while also using the 12 principles of animation in the work 

Thoughts on process and/or outcome: I think i did well for the amount of time i did on this project, i do feel some parts of the walk feel stiff but i can always fix it in my own time. i really wanted to keep the color scheme balanced and i think i achieved it pretty satisfactory

— It’s not a typical character sheet in animation regards. I just wanted her silhouette and an idea how I want her to walk, like that she was dragging a guitar weapon and had an aura of annoyance on her as the expression of this walk

  1. Squash and stretch- the hair is squashing and stretching as it bounces up down.
  2. Anticipation – each larger step forward has a level of anticipation implemented into it.
  3. Staging – I placed her in a 3/4th position and made the background more intense looking to better implement the imposing expression I wanted to express.
  4. straight ahead or pose to pose – i used pose to pose to animate here
  5. Follow through and overlapping action – the arm moving back and forth uses overlapping in the animation
  6. slow in and slow out – the foot movements go slow in and slow out and the ripples in the ground after every step
  7. arcs – the arm and her skirt follow a arc
  8. Secondary action – her guitar hitting the ground and the arm swinging
  9. Timing – timing her movement to go along with the beat of the audio to give it a more satisfying look.
  10. Exaggeration – the guitar i think would be the most exaggeration (other than the fact she’s like pink and a demon) as its a sniper merged into a electric guitar .
  11. solid drawing – i think the drawing of each frame is consistent enough.
  12. appeal – i chose a color palette to blend in and compliment each other to make the animation more appealing.
